New Years has long come and gone, and with that so have most New Year’s resolutions. However, I am very proud to say that mine has stuck with me to-date and I’m loving every minute of it!
One of my New Year’s resolutions for 2011 was to learn something new. I’ve been practicing Anusara yoga consistently for several months now, and in hopes of pushing myself to accomplish my resolution, I signed up for an immersion program. The program is an in-depth study where I will be learning not only about the physical aspects of my practice, but also about Anusara philosophy, and the history of yoga.
The program consists of three sections, and I just completed my first this past weekend. What an incredibly enlightening experience! While succeeding at a New Year’s resolution is very fulfilling in itself, I have to say that learning something new took ‘fulfilling’ to a whole new level for me. Maybe this is obvious to some, but I’ve found that learning something — whatever it may be — allows you have a fresh view on what is currently going on in your life. Wouldn’t you agree?
What was your resolution – to eat more meatless meals maybe? Have you stuck with it so far?
