Take Back Your Lunch Hour!

Do you eat lunch at your desk? Or do you treat yourself to lunch out of the office?

If you answered yes to the 1st question and no to the 2nd, you may need to reconsider your lunch time strategy!

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, taking a break from work to eat should be put on your list of must-dos. “It’s not healthy to sit at your desk from the time you get into the office to the time you leave. It can lead to burnout and attrition.”

So pack yourself a Smart Deli sandwich and take it to the park, heat up a package of Smart Chili or Smart BBQ and sit outside with a coworker, or bring your left over tempeh stir-fry to share with friends at your weekly pot-luck lunch hour in the cafeteria. Whatever you do, don’t give away your lunch hour. Enjoy the one break you get in your busy schedule – it may even make you more productive! 🙂
