Haven’t decided on a resolution yet? Take a look at what some of the folks at Lightlife have pledged to do this coming year.
My best and last resolution is to do something creative every day. It’s been working great for the past 3 years! Of course I can’t get into my skinny jeans, but I have some lovely works of my “art” in my home. At least lovely to me! – Mary
One of my resolutions is to read at least two books for fun. Not school or work related but simple enjoyment novels. My other one is to redo my kitchen. That’s a big one, and will take all available resources, but I dream big. – Linda
To be better about running every day to get in shape and reduce my stress level! – Karen
To be thin and stay thin the rest of my life, and take better care of myself in every facet of my life. I started in earnest September 2011, to get a head start on the New Year. – Ann
My coworkers seem to be right on track to start the New Year off right! I haven’t quite decided on what mine will be for 2012 though, so I’m looking forward to reading all of yours! Perhaps one will spark an idea for me. 🙂

Thanks for all the wonderful resolution ideas everyone! You have all deeply inspired me!
My resolutions are to be more creative in my daily life, more daring, take gentle loving care of myself and my loved ones and be more accepting of life.
My resolution is to volunteer more of my time to help people in need. One way I plan to accomplish this is to run my first 5K for charity.
My resolution is to build up a really healing yoga practice.
My resolution is to remember my reusable grocery bags when I go shopping!! I know it’s not deep, but I think I can actually make this one work! 😉
I want to run a 10k race and learn to be a better couponer to make our grocery budget stretch further.
I resolve to stop making the same mistakes; to do what I know is right but just ‘can’t seem to find the time’; to take a step in the right direction, and even if I fall short, to remember I still took the step. I shall be resolute to live up to the light I have been given & in the course of living a simple yen dhealthy and healthy life, I shall remind myself not all flowers bloom at the same time, but eventually they do bloom! Happy New Year to all & may the success I have also be your success!
I plan to go vegan and will need your soy products to replace the meat. Thanks….
In 2011 I lost a good amount of extra weight I had been carrying around for years. In 2012 I resolve to maintain the healthy weight that I am now and to run a road race or two!
I resolve to do more volunteer work. In the summer of 2011 I signed up to visit the local nuring home two times a month, but life has gotten in the way and I haven’t been able to visit as often as I hoped. I plan on doing better in 2012.
Happy New Year!!!
I have two early goals for 2012. 1) a healthier veggie way of eating, and 2) entering the 2012 Bridge Run.
My resolution is to make better choices with regard to diet and exercise, with the ultimate goal of lowering my high blood pressure.
clean out clutter and try to stay positive. clutter is a factor in my negativity i believe!
I have recently become vegetarian and will try to be mostly vegan this year. It will help my body and the planet.
My New Year resolutions are to lose weight, eat healthier and become more physically fit! My oldest son is a personal trainer so I will ask him for help with my fitness goal.
I am de-cluttering and letting go of a few obsessions
I set 3 goals for each year. I try not to make *resolutions*, to me that only sets myself up for immediate failure. There is no guilt for a miss-step on one day. I keep the end in sight and I have never missed a goal since starting this 4 years ago.
My resolution is to eat better, (less meat), exercise more (easy when you start at zero) and lose some weight – all for the purpose of being healthier to spend more time with loved ones!!
My new years resolution is to train for and complete a half marathon. I’ve always enjoyed running but have got lost in everyday life with house, kids, and everything. So this is going to be my way of giving back to myself which us moms all deserve!
my goal is to stop procrastinating (but in my heart, i know i’ll procrastinate on that, too)
Move more.
as a mom, my resolution is to carve out thirty mins of me time everyday and do something for myself- read, work out, heck, some days taking a shower seems like a ‘shelfish act’, but this year, i hope to do one thing like this each day.
My resolution is to treat myself better physically, mentally and emotionally through regular Bikram practice. Quit stressing about things outside of my control and just be the best I can be. Sounds cheezy but in 2011 I failed in that dept.
My resolution is to forgive, let it go and move on. I seem to hold on to bad feelings and anger. For a healthier me I need to let it all go and only hold on to the good things 🙂
My resolution is to manage my stress better. I plan on doing this by eating better, working out regularly, going to bed at the same (earlier) time every night, doing homework the night it is given rather than the night before it’s due, going outside more often, cleaning my house at least twice a month, making a point to straighten up once a week rather than letting things get out of control, managing my time better, and combating my laziness and procrastination with accomplishment and satisfaction!
It sounds like a lot, but I know these are things that need to happen in order for my stress level to go down during the school semester!
I’m collecting donations of food, clothing and personal care items and dropping off bins of donations each week to help the homeless and people that are in need of some assistance.
I resolve to write fiction every day, even if it’s just for 10 minutes.
My resolution is to reduce the amount of canned foods my family eats drastically and to use my couponing skills to continue to donate to the local family shelter. It was so gratifying to help them for Christmas!
My teenager is a vegetarian and I always prepare to meals a night. One is vegetarian and one has meat. My goal is to try and make more nights meatless for all of us. I also want to try to use re-usable tote bags when I go grocery shopping.
to live a life filled with health, love and positivity~ and losing some weight doesn’t hurt for a resolution, either 🙂
to eat healthier vegan meals on a daily basis
My New’s Years resolution is to eat more plants. I have been a vegan for almost 2 years now but rarely eat vegetables. I promise to try! 🙂
Three H’s! My resolution is to be as healthy, happy and helpful as possible each and every day. I also want to continue to practice the art of patience with both myself and others.
I resolve to try new recipes from my favorite blogs and also to be more affectionate towards my husband!
To do more strength training on my arms, and abs!
To take one day at a time and to remember to use my reusable grocery bags!
I want to figure out how to work exercise into my already-crammed days. And not just half-hearted exercise, but a good mix of strength training, flexibility work, and aerobics! Also, more greens…that one should be pretty easy to keep 🙂
My first goal for the new year is to make sure that I tell at least one person that I love them and to give at least one compliment each day.
Next, I am going to conquer my fear of driving and swimming =) .
My resolution is to get to work and write my vegan cookbook!
My resolution is to travel off the continent. I am hoping this means iceland and not hawaii. I’ve been to hawaii, but I think its time to venture further.
My resolution is to go back to an all vegan, semi-macrobiotic diet and limit my sugar intake again. After a few dairy and sugary “treats” my body is out of sync and I want to go back to feeling fabulous!
I’d like to be more patient, and take better care of my body.
This year I am in focus as a listener.
I really want to run another half marathon, even more I want to get my mom to run a 5k with me! I also want to try to take 2 hours each Saturday morning to clean my house….
My resolution is to become more involved in volunteering within my community and participating in more community outreach promoting the benefits of a vegan lifestyle!
Nothing major, but I’m going to try to watch my sugar intake.. been over doing it a little on the sweets lately 🙂
I will start a yoga teacher training program
for the coming year i resolve to keep up my healthy lifestyle and eat lots of amazing vegan foods!
well, I need to exercise more, or at least get into shape, especially since I will be a bridesmaid this year. Gotta get my butt in gear
My resolution is to focus on my well being – eating well, exercising, and meditation.
I resolve to make changes to improve my health so that when I reach my parent’s age I will have a better quality of life so I can enjoy active time with my children and future grandchildren.
Walk my dog every day regardless of the weather.
My resolution is to spend more “quality time” with my partner, volunteer more, and organize a food drive.
My new years resolution is to use cloth bags at the grocery store! I have some already I just need to remember to use them!
As a vegan mom to be, my new years resolution is to teach my new baby the benefits of a cruelty free lifestyle and the joy of living in harmony with the earth.
My resolution is to become more caring to myself and others. I will be doing all I can to become more healthy in my choices. I resolve to strive harder to provide more time for various charities.
Resolutions: 1. make sure I’m eating enough of the good stuff so baby boy will be born healthfully in March and 2. come up with some good responses to the (too often asked) question “Are you sure not eating meat is healthy for you and the baby?”
My resolution is to incorporate more vegan meals into my diet. Especially for breakfast and lunch.
Exercise more often, keep up my whole food diet (for me and my little one due in April), and start a home family recycling program with my 11 year old!
continue with a healthy vegan diet, but add exercise to the equation this year!!
My resolution is to get into an exercise routine. Because of an inner ear balance problem, I had to stop running and have let that discourage me from pursuing another activity, despite the puchase of a spinning bike (a.k.a. clothes rack). I eat a (95%) vegan diet, but also need to incorporate more veggies & fruits & less baked goods. I love to bake and vegan baked goods aren’t always healthier for sure. I also would like to continue to encourage others around me to try veggie options, and am always bring foods to work to share. Gimme Lean makes good crockpot pot meatball appetizers, albeit in the grape jelly based sauce!
I have quite a few but my top 3 are to be 25 pounds lighter by the end of 2012, run a marathon in under 5 hours and pay off $10,000 or more of my husbands and I’s student loan debt! I know I can meet all these goals!
My resolutions are too exercise more and eat less vegan sweets!
My resolution is to continue on my weight loss journey and reach goal by 2013 – would like to complete a few more 5K’s and possibly a 10K – all very doable 🙂
Eat more pizza! j/k. My only real resolution is to stick to a stricter workout schedule, since I’ve been slacking off the past few years.
Learn another language, save $$, and eat more chocolate
my resolution is to continue to strive towards better health. I made some good choices in 2011 and I want to continue that trend of eating right and exercise.
Keep eating well most of the time, get back on regular schedule to go to the gym, and eat out less.
To love myself more.
I want to cook more, laugh more, and make the best of whatever is happening in my life each day.
My goals are to not worry so much, eat sweets in moderation, try a new recipe at least once a month, and get a REAL job! 🙂 I graduate college on May 4!!!
My resolution for 2012 is to be happy with what I have. To stop focusing on the next and focus on the right now. To enjoy the moments and not be constantly waiting for something in the future to make me happy.
My goal is to be a happier, healthier Mom and wife and to continuously show my three daughters how to be independent, strong young women in the making!
My resolution is to slow down and take time for all the little things. We get so caught up in the daily grind that we take for granted our lives. I want to be able to enjoy a simple sunrise and taking the time to answer all the “why” questions a five year old asks. I also want to make myself realize when things get tough or seem unfair that my life is perfect for me and I wouldn’t want to change it.
To incorporate a more plant based diet into both my husband’s and my life. He’s a die-hard meat eater and I thought by incorporating 1 meal a month in January, 2 in February, 3 in March, 4 in April, we’ll be on way to a healthier lifestyle.
I don’t make resolutions, I set goals. One of my goals is to be active for at least 30 minutes a day 5 days a week. Another is to eat more whole food and reduce the amount of processed and refined sugar products in my diet.
I will work on being more patient and tolerant. I’m even going to a hypnotist for help! Hey…why not? 🙂
My New Year’s Resolution is to lose 20 lbs. and make it to my goal weight of 150 lbs. 1 year ago I started my weightloss journey and I lost 122 lbs last year, I have just 20 lbs left and I am determined to make it to my goal!
My goal is to go on a vacation. My resolution is to work on my eating habits, more fruit in my vegetarian diet. And of course, have more fun in life!
My New Year’s Resolution is to accomplish my goal of starting my business, which is something I have been putting off for the last year.
I want to get healthier by exercising more and eating less junk!
I’m going to start learning how to truly love and care for myself. I became a vegetarian because I love and care for all life, and now I’m realizing that should include myself also.
Get healthy and live life to the fullest….Time goes so quickly
I want to eat healthier and feed my girls healthier so they don’t have issues later in life. I just want to give them the best me, the best food, and the best life I can.
My goal for the year is to get outside more!
